We live in a culture that has forgotten craftmanship, in all it’s forms.
We don’t know how to work.
We value achievements over effort.
We train college kids for skills that are so out of date as to be laughable and hand them an insane debt at the end of it.
I learned so much by learning to fight for the knowledge, expertise and respect I needed to succeed. Through books. By doing it. By failing. By working under others.
I think for many college is still a great experience. But I did just fine without it.
