I totally understand and am saddened that this happened.

And I indeed did use a generalization there.

There is nothing wrong with us standing up against abuse of power and sharing our stories, even as white people, of being abused. We must do this. And I stand with you.

I only grow angry and concerned when we use these stories to “disavow” or “ belittle” what is happening en masse to black Americans.
