I totally get it.

Sorry if it came off that I was feeling sorry for you.

I was on my iphone and running out the door.

What I wanted to say was that I’ve been there. And I know what it’s like to fight for something we believe in against all odds, financial, social, etc.

And I also know how rewarding it can be to come out the far side. And I wanted to be a voice of support for what you are doing. If I was in town, I would share stories over a coffee.

Because there are too few voices that are supportive in times like this. Or at least, that’s how I felt.

There’s too much pity and “oh dear, you should just get a job.”

And not enough, “Kick ass! I admire what you are doing even if I think it’s a little crazy!”
