I have a few friends that suffer from depression and it would appear to be similar to what you describe.
I remember the times they weren’t afflicted. I see them surface.
And I see then lost in it again.
I wish I knew what I could do that might help them. We talk. I try to stay engaged and not ignore what they are experiencing.
I’m uncertain what else to do.
