I didn’t get home from shooting until almost 1am last night.

I was lighting my candle and just scrolling through flame after flame after flame. I was actually stunned. So many people standing united. So many people who have not met and may not even know each other’s given names. So many united regardless of skin colour or means.

It made me proud. But I remember also thinking. This is going to scare some people. This much light is going to reach the things that scurry in the corners.

And I was prouder still.

Slam that shoe, Tre! We have no need or room for scared, scurrying scorpions here.

I have a candle post to write and share!
