A lovely croissant.

A cappuccino.

A pedal-powered charging station.

I think I must be in Europe.

We fly into Geneva next. Eli worked out a way to take the train down from the mountains to Annecy where we have rented a small flat for four days.

I need this. The mountains. The time to wander an old town and a chalet at the base of the alps.

My writing has fled and left me cold and irritable. My carefully built habits surrendered quietly months ago and now languish in a damp, prison cell somewhere.

Even my love of reading has suffered, not to mention the lovely words of my dear friends here on Medium.

Eli was laid off a week ago. Normally we would be panicking right about now as this puts even more pressure on our laughable and horrifying relationship with all things monetary, but this trip had been planned long ago.

It is the perfect gift at the perfect time.

More to come. Love to all my friends on Medium.
